Superstar Rajinikanth’s Tamil animation film “Kochadaiiyaan" is expected to release on April 11, 2014 globally and the film directed by Soundarya Rajinikanth Ashwin.
For the very first time in the history of an Indian film "Kochadaiiyaan" features the unique visual mastery of photo-realistic performance capture technology. This technology has been previously seen in Hollywood movies Avatar, Beowulf and Tin Tin.
"Kochadaiiyaan” film is an epic dramatization of good versus evil. In this film Rajinikanth plays a double role in a larger than life depiction. As well starring Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone with South India’s leading stars like R. Sarath kumar, Nasser, Aadi Pinisetty, Shobana and Rukmini. "Kochadaiiyaan" is jointly produced by Media one Global Entertainment Ltd and Eros International Media Ltd.
Oscar-winning Music Director A.R Rahman has composed the music for the film “Kochadaiiyaan", which has been along the lines of Hollywood films such as "Tin Tin" and "Avatar".
Eros International and Media one have joined hands with the Bengaluru based Smartphone seller Karbonn Mobiles to release the special edition Rajinikanth branded 'Kochadaiiyaan’.
1 million Kochadaiiyaan edition cell phones will be released on the occasion of the movie's audio launch on 15 February. The exclusive Karbonn Kochadaiiyaan cell phones come with screen savers, wallpapers, trailer video and sound tracks of the movie.

Phenakistoscope (1831) A phenakistoscope disc by Eadweard Muybridge (1893).The phenakistoscope was an early animation device. It was invented in 1831 simultaneously by the Belgian Joseph Plateau and the Austrian Simon von Stampfer. It consists of a disk with a series of images, drawn on radii evenly spaced around the center of the disk. Slots are cut out of the disk on the same radii as the drawings, but at a different distance from the center. The device would be placed in front of a mirror and spun. As the phenakistoscope is spun, a viewer would look through the slots at the reflection of the drawings which would only become visible when a slot passes by the viewer's eye. This created the illusion of animation.
